Hotel at chakratirtha

The Hotel is located on the famous Chakratirtha Road with many religious temples around.
Chakratirtha is an important pilgrim centre of Puri. It is situated towards the northern end of Puri town and at a distance of 3 kilometers from the Lord Jagannath temple. It is located on the right side of Chakratirtha Road, leading from Subas Bose Chowk to Penthakota, the fisherman village. At this place there is a temple dedicated to Lord Nrusingha. Local people known this temple in varios names like Chakra Narasimha Temple, Chakra Nrusingha Temple and Chakra Narayana Temple. At this temple, a large Chakra, the devine weapon of Lord Visnu or Jagannath, is being worshipped in water in the sanctum sanctorum made of black granite with a statue of Lord Narayan at the centre, known as Chkranarayana.

The presiding deities of the temple are three images of Lord Nrusingha known as Abhaya Nrusingha, Chakra Nrusingha and Laxmi Nrusingha. These three different forms of Lord Nrusingha as worshipped at Chakratirtha have unique values in Hindu religion. The form of Abhaya Nrusingha represents Sri Balabhadra. The form of Chakra Nrusingha represents Goddess Subhadra and the form of Laxmi Nrusingha represents Lord Jagannath. In puranas, the first three gods of the universe, Brahma, Vishnu and Maheswar have also found expression in the forms of Chakra Nrusingha, Laxmi Nrusingha and Abhaya Nrusingha respectively.

It is believed by local people that once there was a cyclone in Puri and the Neelachakra (the wheel at top of Jagannath Temple) was displaced from its location, flown across the sky and finally fell at Chakratirtha. It is also believed that the 'Daru' (divine log of wood for the creation of deities of Lord Jagannth temple during Navakalevara) touched the ground at Chakratirtha for the first time coming through the sea. Chakratirtha has another spiritual significance as the abode of Goddess Mahalaxmi's father is situated here.

Chakratirtha temple has close association with Lord Jagannth temple and every year the Agnyamala from Lord Jagannath comes to Lord Nrusingha. Narasimha Janma festival is observed in this temple with great devotion.

Our participation in IIT Spring Fest : An achievement reflecting excellence ---

As one of the premium hotels of Puri , we are honored and privileged to achieve the prestigious status of Official Beach Resort Partner at the IIT Kharagpur Spring Fest .

It is undoubtedly an accomplishment for us to get associated with the impeccable brand image of IIT Kharagpur.

As the official beach resort partner we offered our unstinted homage to the unanimously revered institution through the premium privilege card of our hotel to the Professors, Head of the Departments and the Directors of the Institutes. This will facilitate them to avail the facilities of our hotel at 20% discount. Moreover we offered them holiday vouchers granting them the facility of having one night stay with us free of cost. Discount vouchers were offered to the event winners and students.

Our gesture was vehemently appreciated.

We had a stall at the fest. 2012 NEW YEAR CELEBRATIONS

2012 NEW YEAR CELEBRATION

The auspicious advent of New Year 2012 was celebrated within the premise of Hotel Holiday Resort
amidst an ambience of rampant euphoria .

The lush green lawn of the Hotel got adorned with multifarious decorative elements. It was dazzling
with magnificent grandeur. The guests in the lawn were getting flooded with the glistening iridescence
of unbridled joy and delight.

There was a multicolored pineapple pastry of colossal volume, with an emblem of New Year 2012
inscribed on it. Delicious foods and drinks were served to the guests. A subtle attempt was made to
trigger hedonistic pleasure among them through these tempting victuals. The guests appeared to
transcend all dietary restrictions, at least for a few hours, on that specific evening.

The reputed singer Rathijit of “Sa Re Ga Ma” Contest at Zee TV, won the hearts of the guests by the
amazing fusion of melody , rhythm and harmony. The performance of a dance troop and DJ contributed
to the escalation of the evening’s vibrancy.

Amidst such a buoyant ambience and hilarious vibes we welcomed the arrival of the NEW YEAR 2012.
Fun & frolic is transient. Commitment an responsibilities are ever lasting .

Amidst such tempestuous hilarity , we silently took the pledge of becoming a more responsible
Corporate Citizen in the coming year. As a part of our Corporate Social Responsibility , we are being
driven by the blistering passion of showering colors of joy and dew of bliss upon the cheerless dreary
lives of the underprivileged populace of our country.

May Lord Jagannath grant us the valor and tenacity to remain adhered to our commitment.
